The Belize Dental Society was established in 1998.
The Memorandum of Association was signed by Dr Osbert Usher and Dr Chris Bennet.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
(a) To promote the art and science of dentistry and its allied fields by the organisation of conferences, seminars, workshops, etc. whenever and wherever possible. (b) To originate and promote improvements in the law affecting the Dental Profession and to support or oppose alterations therein. (c) The promotion of the interests of the Dental Profession and the maintenance of its honour. (d) To cooperate with, inform, advise and assist the Government of Belize with regards to Health Care, Dental Education, Dental Standards and all matters pertaining to the Dental Profession and its allied fields. (e) To assist in the promotion of measures designed and agreed upon by both the Government of Belize and the Association, to improve standards of dental health care delivery. (f) To promote a better understanding and increased dialogue and cooperation amongst its members. (g) To present the views of the members at related local, regional and international conferences when and wherever possible. (h) To establish and maintain close links with local and regional medical and dental associations. (i) To strive to promote the aims and objectives of the Caribbean Atlantic Regional Dental Association, and to uphold the constitution |
